![]() Zurg then reveals his true identity to Buzz before explaining his backstory. Eventually, one of the Zyclops is able to nab the fuel while Zurg himself captures Buzz, allowing himself and the Zyclops to transport themselves back onto Zurg's ship. However, Zurg catches hold of Buzz's presence, so he sends several Zyclops to track down Buzz and his team. Taking refuge, Izzy explains to Buzz and Sox that Zurg is trying to get the Zyclops to invade the colony, and the only way to deactivate the Zyclops is to destroy Zurg's vessel. ![]() Around the same time, the original Buzz Lightyear arrives with the original Sox at T'Kani Prime, where they meet up with members of the colony's defense forces composed of Alisha's granddaughter Izzy, elderly convict Darby, and naïve recruit Mo. Using the remaining fuel to travel back into the present with the giant vessel, Zurg, the future Sox, and the Zyclops try to invade the colony, forcing the colonists to activate a barrier to shield themselves from Zurg and the Zyclops. Zurg also modifies a machine that will allow the vessel to time travel as long as it is powered up by the fuel. Donning the mecha suit, Buzz uses the ship's technology to build himself a massive army of powerful robots known as the Zyclops, and adopts the name Zurg as the Zyclops can only pronounce him as such. In the far future, Buzz and Sox find a giant abandoned vessel equipped with advanced technology, including a massive purple mecha suit. As a result, they travel centuries into the distant future thanks to the effects of time dilation. Realizing that Burnside and the colonists didn't care about going back to Earth, a hurt and angry Buzz escapes away with Sox in the X-15, and they fly as far away from T'Kani Prime as possible at hyperspeed. At first, Buzz is delighted that he can use the fuel to have the colonists leave T'Kani Prime, but an older Burnside refused to see this feat and orders Buzz's arrest for stealing the X-15. Because of this, Buzz saves Sox and steals the X-15 ship to complete an unofficial yet successful hyperspace test that resulted in another 22 years. Still wanting to fix his mistake, Buzz learns from his robotic cat assistant Sox that a new fuel composition might work, but Burnside orders for Sox to be deactivated. Following the death of his best friend and commanding officer Alisha Hawthorne, Buzz was told by his new commanding officer Burnside to end all hyperspace tests, as Burnside decided that the colonists will have to get used to living on T'Kani Prime for the rest of their lives. Feeling guilty for a mistake that he committed after crashing the exploration vessel that left himself and the rest of his crew stranded on the planet T'Kani Prime, Buzz spends 62 years doing hyperspace tests as a colony is built on T'Kani Prime so that they can return back to Earth. Prior to becoming Zurg, he started off as Buzz Lightyear from an alternate timeline. ![]() ![]() STEP 2: Create a column, label it “Income,” and list out all your sources of income. STEP 1: Open up Google, head to your Sheets page, create a new sheet, and name it. Here we go - read on for my Excel budget template! Again, this is being done through Google Sheets, so you’ll have to have a Google account to use this feature.ĭO NOT be intimated by the number of steps or photos! Seriously, I see these guides online and I’ll scroll through and think I could never understand them, but it’s really very easy once you understand how to set up basic formulas. Today, I’m going to take you through creating a budget in Excel for the purpose of tracking your monthly budget which will include: tracking your income, seeing how to track your savings goals, and tracking/organizing your expenses. Personally, I use Google Excel Sheets to manage my expenses because I’m honestly too lazy to download the software to my computer. It’s also simpler to manage and keep track of everything since it’s stored in the cloud, and I have access to it whenever wherever. However, this is simply what works best for me, and I encourage you to try out some different options for yourself. Now, a lot of people prefer using apps to manage their budgets, and there are truly a ton of them out there. We talk a lot about managing budgets here at TFD - Chelsea and I even made a video about it. Today, I’m going to go into more granular detail as to how one can actually create a monthly budget using my personal favorite method - Excel Sheets. Matchstick and Talbot are developing curricula that will bring the device into classrooms. The PinBox 3000 allows kids (and adults) to engage creatively with tactile materials while learning basic physics and problem-solving skills. "It's a great combination of engineering and art and design," Shen-Epstein said as she watched her daughter locked in a BattleMode! with another young enthusiast. South Burlington resident June Shen-Epstein's 8-year-old daughter couldn't wait to get her hands on a PinBox after seeing one for the first time last week at the Burlington Artist Market. Although the majority seemed to happen upon the event accidentally, one family had been fervently anticipating the night. After Matchstick and Talbot set up in the corner of Tilt, a steady trickle of kids and adults found their way to the games. She wasn't the only person drawn to the PinBox. Kids playing with PinBox 3000 at Pintastic New England pinball expo in Sturbridge, Mass.If she had her own, Emily said, "I would put in sheep and paint it gold all over." "I think this game is amazing," she said. Emily Guynup, 11, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., couldn't keep her hands off the "Grottoblaster" (so named after the "interactive hip-hop-inspired puppet adventure" the professors produced last year). Moments after they set down two PinBox 3000 prototypes on the end of the bar, a family that had been heading out the door instead gravitated toward the cardboard fun machines. Matchstick and Talbot arrived at Tilt slightly after 6 p.m. For extra fun, two PinBox 3000s can be locked together, back to back, for what Matchstick and Talbot call "BattleMode!" Each set comes with two interchangeable play boards that present endless opportunities for customization. It comes with marbles, rubber bands (the elastic power behind the ball launcher), an idea book and instructions. The 15-by-22-inch PinBox 3000 is a non-virtual-reality gaming device consisting of 12 sheets of recycled, laser-cut cardboard that can be assembled in about an hour, its makers explained. Matchstick and Talbot exceeded their $10,000 goal, and will use the funds to produce and deliver 300 of the DIY devices. ![]() The central Vermont-based founders and self-appointed "professors" of the Cardboard Teck Instantute (CTI) allowed customers to try out their latest creation as they celebrated a successful Kickstarter campaign. The PinBox 3000 Arcade Pinball System is made of cardboard. ![]() Matchstick and Pete Talbot brought an unlikely - and much quieter - pinball machine to Tilt Classic Arcade and Ale House in South Burlington on Sunday evening. ![]() Within minutes the engines were started, the weapons systems were up and running, and the aircraft was ready to go. Any thoughts of blue water operations and launching off an aircraft carrier with no divert airfields available were quickly replaced with doing my job and getting all the systems online and ready to launch. Man and machine were one, and I was ready for my training mission. That being said, I had spent significant time with 301 and when I strapped in that night, I felt like the aircraft was an extension of my body. In fact, it was normal to fly a different aircraft in the squadron almost every day based on the maintenance requirements, which seemed endless. While some may think that we only flew the aircraft with our name on the side, that was not the case. I really enjoyed flying aircraft 301 and had spent quite a bit of time with it the previous few weeks. He had plans to make this flight anything but routine. Murphy of Murphy’s Law, where everything that can go wrong will go wrong, had climbed aboard while I wasn’t looking. ![]() While the F/A-18C is a single seat aircraft, I guess Mr. The fuel we launched with was all we had until we wrestled the plane back onto the relative safety of the carrier.Īfter conducting a thorough exterior preflight, I climbed into the cockpit of aircraft 301 for another routine flight…or so I thought. On all of my previous deployments in the E-2C Hawkeye this was never an option. Blue water ops had become the norm, and while I had been here before, I took some comfort in the fact that tonight I was flying the F/A-18C Hornet aircraft that had the ability to conduct air to air refueling if for some reason I could not land back on the flight deck. Typical operations at this point as the Stennis and Airwing Nine were on deployment and in the middle of the Pacific Ocean making our way to the Persian Gulf. Without that light I could barely see past the nose on my face. Inching across the flight deck of the USS Stennis aircraft carrier, I searched my path with my flashlight in hopes that I would not trip and fall or run into anything. Darker than a moonless night with no ambient light from land and just miles and miles of pitch black. It was one of those dark nights that only aviators who fly off of aircraft carriers have experienced. Critical decisions make the difference between life and death. |
